Individual Owner Operator OHS Training

This Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) course is for Individual Owner Operators (IOOs) registered in SAFE Companies and is one of the requirements of SAFE certification.

What is an IOO?

If you hire any other workers or contractors, you are not an IOO and need to register and take training as a Small Employer.

Important: This training is step two of three steps required to become SAFE certified:

  1. Register with SAFE Companies
  2. Complete IOO OHS training
  3. Submit a certification audit

Who should attend this course?
Participants should be active in their company's business operations and be knowledgeable of the work activities. Participants must be able to communicate in English and be willing to participate in group activities.

Goals & Objectives
To provide an overview of your safety responsibilities as an IOO, and to provide instruction on how to use the SAFEty Log to make your SAFE certification easy and straightforward.

Duration
Four hours. The course is available primarily as a teleconference session.

Cost
Total cost for instruction and materials is $173.25 (includes 5% GST).
