Safety Alert
A Planer Millwright was changing a ~200lb Planer Infeed Roll Assembly, due to restricted space they had to change their means of transport and rigging. While lowering the load, using a cable come-along, the locking mechanism failed to reengage allowing the load to free fall, the full force was transferred through the handle which struck the employee on the top of the head.
