A survey of readers was undertaken in December 2018-January 2019. A report of the findings was completed on February 14, 2019.

- Respondents from across all regions of the province, all types of forestry work, majority with more than 10 years of experience; with the biggest slice at 166 respondents (28.62%) in the 20-30 year category and 120 respondents (20.69%) in the 31-40 years category and 16% having 41 to over 51 years of experience
- 83% of total respondents work for a SAFE Certified company and majority identify as IOOs, contractors, and small firms with less than 10 employees
- 93% say they read all or most editions
- 73% said keep it as is; another 9% said keep it mostly like it is but add more of specific items that they provided
- Majority say keep print and email editions and let people choose both or one to suit needs
- Majority say keep publishing every two months
- Most interest (80%) generated by “information updates on new regulations or things we need to know about in field”, followed by 66.7% on “how-to tips to make operations safer”
- Everybody wants more, tailored to their unique work or type of operation, from timber cruisers to First Nations cultural/archaeologists, IOOs, fallers, tug boat operators, development engineers, community forest reps, private land owners, log truck drivers, machine operators, steep slopes, interior coverage, safety success stories, etc.
