This course looks at developing the fundamental skills required for effective safety supervision. This course is the first of six modules that are part of the Wood Products Manufacturing Supervisor Training Program.

- Explain who a supervisor is and what they need to do to be effective
- Describe what’s needed to maintain safe workplaces and safe work practices in all operations
- Explain how to encourage the right and responsibility to refuse unsafe work
- Identify ways to improve the impact the supervisor has on safe operations
- Interpret how legislation and regulations affect your work as a supervisor

Approximately 1.5 hours. This is an online course with self-paced, flexible 24/7 access and the expectation of participants completing the course within six months of enrollment.
