SEBASE/ISEBASE - Small Employer/ Independent Small Employer

In the SAFE Companies program, a small company is any firm with more than one employee or dependent contractor who works on site, but has less than 20 employees during peak season.
There are presently two categories for small companies.

SEBASE 6-19 employees
ISEBASE 2-5 employees

Once you have responsibility for even one on site employee or dependent contractor you need to have a safety system to make sure hazard identification, safe work procedures, emergency plans and other items are done regularly.

The SAFE Companies program gives you the tools and information to set up and evaluate your company’s system.

In addition to benefiting from a safer work environment, and enjoying the peace of mind that comes with being confident in their safety systems, SAFE Certified companies are also eligible for annual WorkSafeBC rebates.
