Action required before May 15 to improve ATV Road Deactivation

Conference call on April 17 to learn more about promising practices for safety and productivity

All licensees, operators, foresters, hoe operators, safety officers and others are invited to join the Western Silvicultural Contractors Association (WSCA) on Friday, April 17 at 9 AM PST toll-free 1-866-613-5223, access code 7647151# to learn more about how to improve worker safety while also improving the quality and productivity of tree planting.

In 2014 Trenna MacLeod of Weyerhaeuser and Scott Overland of Quastuco collaborated on a WSCA-sponsored project to define standards for ATV road deactivation. During the conference call Scott and Trenna will share their experiences and show how their approach can be used elsewhere.

The objective now is to review their success and see how this can help achieve improved safety outcomes this planting season.

If you have questions ahead of the conference call, please contact the WSCA at 1-604-736-8660.

Read or download here & share with your workers.
