As your new SAFE Companies director, I want you to know that we’ve heard your feedback and, effective immediately December 21, 2009, we’re holding back the release of any new audit versions and assessing all other existing audits. The BASE 2.0 audit has been pulled from circulation and the upcoming release of the SEBASE 2.0 audit has been held back, pending a full review of all audits.
You should have the revised, improved versions ready to go by the end of Q2, 2010. It will mean less process and paperwork for you, while maintaining audit elements that move companies more towards injury reduction.
The same overall time frame and goals apply to new audit protocols coming for small companies (SEBASE 2.0) and individual owner operators (IOO 2.0).
Please continue using the original audit protocols including the current BASE Element I – Injury Management/RTW until the new versions are released.
We encourage everyone to give us anonymous feedback on the audit process. Please take 15 minutes and complete the survey prior to January 31, 2010. Click here to go directly to the survey.
I want you to know that we value your feedback. There will always be some level of process and audit review; however we want to streamline it, and make it more efficient. I am listening. Phone me at 250-739-5175, or email chaplin@bcforestsafe.org.
